When jobs are posted on JobSlinger, it's very common for them to be a part of a campaign -- for example,
when a company decides to hire a mystery shopping company to visit all of its stores in a region.
When this happens, we get many listings for identical jobs in different locations.
As a result, when you search for jobs on JobSlinger, your search results may contain
line after line of the "same" job, in different locations. This is great if you want
to perform this job in several different locations -- but if you just want to see as
many different types of jobs as you can, it's not so great.
These could be "totally awesome shops" -- but do you really want to see eleven of them on your screen?
To make it easier to view listings, JobSlinger has introduced a new collapsed listings option to our advanced search. To use this option, click on the Advanced Search link.
The Group similar listings together option at the bottom of the search screen (checked by default) causes job listings to be "collapsed" into a single listing if the job title, due date, class, category and pay are all the same. Using the advanced search with the "Group similar listings together" option, the search results shown above now look like this:
To view all the individual listings for a job, click on the "x locations" link under the City column. This expands the collapsed listing as follows:
As you can see, the other collapsed listings remain collapsed, while this listing is expanded to show each individual job and its location. To view an individual job, just click on the View Listing link.
