What is JobSlinger? JobSlinger is a "Mega-Job Board", four of the world's hottest job boards merged into one. We're looking to serve up the largest number of jobs to the largest number of field reps (shoppers, demonstrators, auditors, etc.) in the industry. The JobSlinger partners are: SASSIE - the premiere software platform in the mystery shopping industry DemoZilla - the world's most advanced in-store demonstration scheduling application The MSPA - the Mystery Shopping Providers Association Volition.com - the world's largest bulletin board dedicated to market research industries such as mystery shopping, merchandising, in-store demonstration, etc. JobSlinger itself is sponsored and maintained by SurfMerchants LLC Why should I post on JobSlinger? It's free for you: We don't charge companies to post on JobSlinger It's free for shoppers & field reps: View our "FREE SEARCHES FOREVER" pledge. It's ridiculously easy: When you create a job listing on any of the JobSlinger partners' job boards (SASSIE, DemoZilla, MSPA or Volition) you can automatically have that listing copied to JobSlinger - no need to re-type a listing. Your listing will be seen by the largest number of field reps: It's REALLY free for shoppers to search for jobs on JobSlinger. Unlike other boards that charge field reps to read the full job listing, JobSlinger is completely free for field reps. You'll get harassed less for jobs that have been filled or expired: Unlike other unauthorized job board compilers that steal job listings from SASSIE, the MSPA, Volition, , etc., you have complete control over your listings in JobSlinger. You can pull listings as they get filled, reducing the number of emails and phone calls from field reps who want to do jobs that are no longer available. I have a company with jobs to post. Where do I sign up for my company account? Posting your jobs on JobSlinger is completely free and convenient! You don't even need to sign up for a JobSlinger company account. To list on JobSlinger, sign up with one of our partner sites (if you haven't already): SASSIE at http://sassieshop.com/site/contactsales.php DemoZilla at http://www.demozilla.com/site/contact.php MSPA at http://www.mysteryshop.org/join/ Volition at http://jobs.volition.com/exec/NeedAccount After creating your listings on any of these sites, check the "COPY TO JOBSLINGER" box (if you are creating a Volition.com listing, it will automatically be copied to JobSlinger). On DemoZilla, use the JobSlinger option on the AutoBooking feature. How Does JobSlinger Work? 1. Schedulers create job listings on a JobSlinger partner job board (MSPA, SASSIE, Volition, DemoZilla) 2. Schedulers opt to have that listing copied onto JobSlinger (note: Volition copies automatically) 3. Field rep searches for jobs on JobSlinger and clicks on a listing. 4. The field rep is forwarded to the partner's web site to view the job description Strategically speaking, why would organizations like the MSPA and Volition team up with JobSlinger? Wouldn't JobSlinger steal hits from them? Just the opposite! JobSlinger is designed to INCREASE hits on those sites. When a field rep clicks on a link in JobSlinger, it forwards the field rep to the source of the that listing to view the full details of that job - the MSPA and Volition.com end up getting all of the hits. Other job compilation sites scrape listings from the MSPA and Volition websites and don't forward field reps to their sites - we felt we could offer a more productive partnership for those organizations. If JobSlinger doesn't charge field reps or companies, how does it pay to keep itself running? What's your motivation here? First, we expect that the banner ads will cover our expenses. They're annoying, for sure - but a reasonable price to pay to ensure that field reps will ALWAYS be able to search for free and companies will ALWAYS be able to list jobs for free. Second, the unauthorized job board compilers do a disservice to our industry by driving up costs in the mystery shopping industry by: Consuming internet bandwidth and server resources with their constant site scraping Wasting time for field reps and schedulers communicating over filled and expired jobs Taking money from field reps for the right to search for jobs that are available for free elsewhere Stealing hits and ad revenue from legitimate job boards Therefore, it is very worthwhile for us to provide a legitimate alternative, and provide some additional (and exclusive) value to SASSIE, DemoZilla, the MSPA and Volition.com platforms. Third, JobSlinger's visibility and functionality will serve as a living, breathing demonstration of our technological capabilities. Think of technologies like Linux and MySQL - they are free, but companies can do very good business in customizing those technologies, offering enhanced services to those technologies, etc. We hope to do the same!
